New TerraceM LEM (Landscape Evolution Model)

New module in TerraceM allow modelling the development of marine terraces

Saturday 27 July 2019 at 7:28 pm.

The TerraceM LEM has been adapted from the wave erosion and energy dissipation model initially formulated by Sunamura (1992) and further developed by Anderson et al., (1999). The model simulates the development of wave-cut terraces formed under oscillating sea level conditions and variable or constant uplift rates. The erosive power of wave abrasion is responsible to drive cliff retreat, while uplift is responsible to preserve the terraces.
