PORSEC´s Proceedings, to appear as a special number of GAYANA.
The Proceedings for
PORSEC.2004 were issued as a special number of
Concepcion University´s journal
“GAYANA” , an
International Journal of Biodiversity, Oceanology and
Conservation, named after the French naturalist Claudio
Gay, who working for the Chilean government published towards
the middle of the nineteenth century the first comprehensive
series of monographs on the Flora and Fauna of Chile. Indexed
by several international directories GAYANA has gained a high
prestige in Latin America, and elsewhere, being sent as exchange
to the main libraries in many countries. No
doubt, the volume will be an important and actualized source
of references for the scientific communities and individual
workers in Latin America and other developing countries. Each volume and paper can be
