Full-Time Tenure Track Faculty Position at University of Concepcion, Chile.

The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Concepcion invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position. We seek outstanding candidates with research and teaching interests in broader areas of geo-systems engineering including but not limited to geo-hazards, geo-mechanics, constitutive modeling, foundations, and geo-environmental engineering.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. Degree in Civil Engineering, exceptionally qualified Ph.D. students will also be considered, and are expected to establish a strong research program and excel in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.

The successful candidate will join a group of two faculty in the geotechnical field, and a broader civil engineering group with research in all areas of civil engineering. Strong areas of our program are wood structures, earthquake engineering, transportation, hydraulic, and environmental engineering. The Civil Engineering department at University of Concepcion recruits some of the best students among the engineering schools in Chile.
