Los proyectos de investigación han sido financiados por La Fundación Andes, Dirección de Investigación de la Universidad de Concepción y el Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico (FONDECYT) perteneciente a la Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (CONICYT) de Chile. Se destaca la cooperación en equipamiento por parte del Electrical and Computer Engnieering Department de la Concordia University, Montreal, Canadá, el cual ha sido utilizado para la obtención de resultados experimentales.
