Síntesis y Caracterización de Polímeros Funcionales. Polímeros Extractantes de iones metálicos. Electrodos modificados como Sensores de Metales. Síntesis, caracterización y determinación de estructuras mediante métodos semi-empíricos de compuestos de coordinación con ligandos poliméricos.Desarrollo de nuevas fases pseudoestacionarias poliméricas y su aplicación en Cromatografía Electrocinética para la separación de analitos neutros y cargados de interés biológico y ambiental. Micro-extracción en fase sólida (SPME) y Micro-extracción en fase líquida (LPME) para la determinación de PCBs y PHAs en matrices acuosas mediante cromatografía gaseosa.

Objetivos

Desarrollar nuevos materiales poliméricos, especialmente con grupos funcionales en la cadena central o lateral. Caracterización de los materiales poliméricos mediante técnicas espectroscópicas (FTIR, RMN, UV-Vis,), GPC, TGA, DSC. Investigar aplicaciones de los materiales poliméricos entre otras como:Resinas extractantes de iones metálicos, Polímeros solubles en agua, coordinantes de iones metálicos y, Electrodos modificados como sensores de iones metálicos. Formación de recursos humanos a través de la realización e tesis de postgrado, pregrado, habilitaciones profesionales, trabajos de título. Fomentar la cooperación científica a traves de proyectos y la realización de Simposios y/o talleres.
