En todo texto se dice algo de alguien o de algo. Ese alguien o algo se denomina sujeto de la oración.

THE SOLAR SYSTEM

The Solar System consists of a star (the sun), nine planets and a number of other bodies, such as satellites and asteroids. The Sun is the center of the Solar System. The planets revolve around it. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter,Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are planets. Some planets have satellites. The Earth has one satellite. It is called Moon.

El sujeto es, está, o realiza una acción.La(s) palabra(s) que indica(n) esta condición se denomina(n) verbo(s). En las aseveraciones en inglés el verbo puede identificarse porque siempre se ubica después del sujeto. La estructura normal de una oración aseverativa simple en inglés es SV (sujeto + verbo).

Ejemplos:
The Sun is the center of the Solar system.
The Earth is in the Solar System.
The Earth revolves around the Sun.

El sujeto generalmente es un sustantivo que puede estar solo o acompañado de otras palabras. El sustantivo es el núcleo del sujeto y, una vez que se ha enunciado, puede ser reemplazado por otras palabras denominadas pronombres personales.

Ejemplos:
Dogs bark.They like to chase cats. = (Dogs like to chase cats)
My pretty little daughter has a new doll. She called her Sissy. = (My pretty little daughter called the doll Sissy).

4. Ahora identifica el sustantivo núcleo del sujeto en las siguientes oraciones del texto y escríbelo en el espacio.
